To cope with the increasing demands of our clients, Diesel Electric Services now employs 13 contract engineers to manage multifaceted turnkey projects. To compliment this, we have a fully equipped 24 hour standby service team consisting of 28 factory trained technicians, four UPS specialist technicians and four diesel delivery vehicles. We have 12 installation teams versed in tried and tested installation methodologies.
We have a fully equipped mechanical, electrical and electronic workshops and all control panel wiring, fabrication and machining is done in – house, thus allowing planned integration of all components and in so doing provides optimum performance and economy ensuring total control over quality and delivery.
Our test bay facility allows for the comprehensive load testing of all our machines at unity power factor, with load banks rated up to 3000kW.
Spares availability is assured for a minimum of ten years from date of manufacture. We are able to guarantee this commitment owing to the in-house manufacture of our own electronic control equipment as well as our extensive spares holding.
To add to the accreditations, DES has been strategically partnered with APC by Schneider (formerly APC and MGE) for 4 years and offers an extensive range of well proven products. We are a high Power partner to Reillo. The ball however does not stop there... DES is the only supplier of: "EURO – DIESEL" Dynamic Uninterruptable Power Systems in Southern Africa. This appointment was effective from the 1st of May 2000.
